LIMESTUCCO
Mineral lime stucco
Continuous trowel-applied lime coating, with a mineral surface and greater material depth. The movement, pressure and overlapping of the trowel shape its final expression. Available in Fine and Textured. Both share the same application system; the granulometry mainly determines the character and final texture of the surface.

Direct contact with water is resolved with Limestucco Fine protected with PRS Performance and Limewax, applied in coats until the substrate is saturated and burnished with a mop or woollen cloth after 30–60 min. The system is documented in the product data sheet. Limestucco Textured is not recommended in showers.
At +23 °C and 65% RH. Ambient conditions can change the drying time. The technical data for Fine and Textured match on these parameters.

Limeprimer, when the substrate requires it
The trowel is the main application tool. Other tools can be used for specific applications and change the final expression of the surface.
01 · PREPARAR
Prepare the substrate
The substrate must be sound, clean, dry and properly prepared. Limestucco is a continuous trowel-applied finish: irregularities, repairs and differences in the substrate can transfer to the final surface if not corrected first.
Continuous plaster, sound and uniform
Application on properly prepared continuous plaster that is sound, clean, dry and has uniform absorption.
Prepared plasterLimestucco
If there are repairs or differences in absorption, apply Limeprimer first.
Uniform absorption and a surface with no visible repairs.
Mix the product
Before applying, mix Limestucco until you get a uniform consistency suitable for working with a trowel.

02 · APLICAR
The trowel builds the surface
2 coats · 2 mm total · Trowel or spatula
Apply Limestucco with a trowel in thin, continuous coats. The angle, pressure, direction and overlapping of the tool determine the final depth and movement of the surface.
Application in two coats
01 · Primera coat
Spread a first coat of Limestucco continuously, distributing the material evenly over the whole surface. Keep a consistent thickness, pressure and tool throughout the area.
Avoid unnecessary build-up and large differences in thickness.
The texture is not drawn: it appears as a consequence of working the material with the trowel.
First coat→6 h→Second coat
02 · Segunda coat
Apply a thin, continuous second coat. Work with short, controlled trowel movements, overlapping the passes naturally until you achieve the desired continuity and depth.
The plasterer can work the second coat while wet to modulate the depth and final trowel mark.
Keep the same application criteria throughout the area and avoid creating repetitive patterns.
03 · TEXTURAS
One application. Two expressions of material.
Limestucco Fine and Textured share the same trowel-application principle. The different granulometry changes the depth, feel and reading of the surface.
LIMESTUCCO FINO
Fine
<100 μm
Herramienta Trowel
Its fine granulometry produces a continuous, gently textured surface. The movement and overlapping of the trowel bring depth and a subtle hand-applied mark.
Fine · Continuous · Smooth · Refined
The trowel mark should be readable under light, but kept restrained. Avoid strong watermarks, marbling, exaggerated contrasts or decorative patterns.
LIMESTUCCO ESTRUCTURADO
Textured
≈700 μm
Herramienta Trowel
The larger granulometry brings more body, relief and mineral presence to the surface, while keeping the continuous, hand-applied character typical of Limestucco.
Textured · Tactile material · Mineral · Tactile
The aggregate must be perceived at true scale. Avoid an overly coarse or irregular texture that turns the finish into a rustic render.
The movement of the trowel
Within each finish, the pressure, size and overlapping of the trowel movements allow the final expression to be modulated.
Short, restrained movement
A calmer surface.
Greater overlap
More movement and depth.
The movement must stay restrained and at true scale.

Limestucco creates a continuous, mineral surface where hand application brings depth and a subtle variation. The trowel mark can be read under light without becoming a decorative pattern.

Natural variations of the material
The mineral nature of Limestucco, its granulometry and hand application can create small variations in texture, density and tonal perception. These variations are part of the material's own expression.
Avoid these mistakes
01Uneven substrate
Do not use the finish to compensate for significant differences in flatness, repairs or defects in the substrate. Properly prepare the surface before applying.
02Build-up of material
Excessive differences in thickness can produce unwanted variations in drying, texture and the final result.
03Drawing with the trowel
Movements that are too large, repetitive or deliberately decorative can create artificial patterns and break the natural look of the surface.
Validate before you start
Produce a sample on a representative substrate using the same preparation, colour, finish — Fine or Textured —, tool, number of coats and application movement planned for the project.
The sample must validate the complete system, not just the colour.
